Scott Reno has been involved in all phases of construction beginning as a laborer on a large multi-residential project in the early 70's to being a journeyman carpenter on both commercial & residential projects throughout Silicon Valley in the 70's & early 80's. Since 1981, he has specialized in design/build commercial/industrial construction and in the mid 80's & early 90's he's added both a painting division and facilities services division (respectively) to more efficiently serve his client base.

EXPERIENCE: 43 Years in Commercial, Industrial & Residential Construction
Vern Pitts began his construction experience in 1974 working for his father in rural Kansas doing roofing, residential remodels and new home construction. He moved to California in 1981 and began working for Hensley & Reno Custom Builders, Inc. In 1982, he joined C & J Contracting, Inc. and quickly rose to the position of General Superintendent. He remained in that position until 2005 when he became a senior project manager.
Art Javier

EXPERIENCE: 45 Years in Accounting, Audit and Financial Management
Art Javier has worked as an accountant, controller, and auditor in the service, retail, import/export and construction industries since the early 70's. He has extensive experience in construction accounting and financial management for the last 32 years. His dedication and commitment to his calling has made him a primary reason for C & J's success and has played a key part in guiding the company's financial operations through the years to where it is now.

Brett K. Johnson

EXPERIENCE: 32 Years in Custom Home, Architectural, and Commercial Finishes/Applications
Brett Johnson began his career in the painting and coatings industry in 1985 working with specialized coatings for custom homes and high-end commercial applications. He came to C & J in 1994 after the company he was working for relocated to Ohio. Hired on as a painter, Brett quickly rose to general superintendent of the painting division and then in 2004 became the Division Manager overseeing all painting and special coatings operations.
